Jam 88.3
History and Background
DWJM-FM was originally launched as a smooth jazz radio station, Citylite 88.3 under the callsign DWCT-FM, and owned by Francis Lumen, With its studios at Strata 2000 Bldg. It played smooth jazz and rhythm and blues from May 1988 to 2003 (competing directly with 105.1 Crossover and Kiss Jazz 101.1 (now Yes FM 101.1)). In 1998 Raven Broadcasting Corporation was acquired by The Radio Partners, Inc. while Francis Lumen switched to Joey @ Rhythms 92.3 (now U92). In 2001-2003, it was known as Smooth Jazz Citylite 88.3. On July 1, 2003, after 15 years on DWCT-FM, Citylite 88.3 bids farewell.
As Jam 88.3 (2003-Present)
In July 2, 2003, Raven Broadcasting Corporation relaunched the station as Jam 88.3 (it also changed its callsign to DWJM) to cater to a larger more advertiser-friendly audience.
Jam 88.3 was originally launched as an "easy listening pop" station. Within a year of launching, the station quickly established itself as a popular trend-setting station in The Philippines with unique programs and segments. Jam has a reputation for discovering new talent and music. It is largely recognized in the Philippine music industry for starting the Acoustic music trend of 2003 and 2004. The station is also credited for propelling the return to prominence of OPM ( Original Pilipino Music ) beginning in 2005.[citation needed]
The radio format has since developed into a mixture of music - collectively defined as lite pop alternative, then dropping the entire "less talk more music" feel. The station has evolved into one which diffuses a distinct sound, music it plays - one of a kind.
Max FM 103.5
It was known as K-Lite 103.5 from 1995 - 2007 and Heart 103.5 from January 2007 - June 2007.
In November 2006, the management of K-Lite decided to reformat and reorganize the station. In December of the same year, it was relaunched as Heart 103.5 with new on-air personalities. They transferred their studio from Paragon Plaza to Jollibee Plaza.
On June 19, 2007, at exactly 9:00 pm, 103.5 was again reformatted, changing their name to 103 1/2 Max FM.
Seven of Manila's best disc jockeys (Joe Schmoe, Paul Reno, Jay Latin, Dick Reese, Joshua, Martin Gill and Little David) set out to form a radio station that would best the much-established and well-known old hands of the industry. The new station occupied the frequency, studios and equipment formerly handled by the defunct standards music station DWCS (103.5 CS, then owned by Global Broadcasting System) and changed its call sign to DWKX. K-Lite started airing on October 23, 1995.The first DJ to go on the air was Joe Schmoe; his first song was Pride (In the Name of Love) by U2. Within a few months, it became the favorite radio station of the young professionals and more outspoken listeners.
YES! FM Manila 101.1
In 1998, 101.1 relaunched as YES FM! with a different callsign. It has the same format as 90.7 Love Radio. They relocated the station at the Star City Complex in Pasay, Philippines and in 2008, 101.1 YES! FM became automated and plays on spinners 24 hours a day but still having any DJ’s and adopts a slogan Automatic ‘Yan! YES! FM.
History
Before MBC purchased and was granted the operational rights to 101.1 MHz, the frequency operated as Kiss FM 101.1 (call letters DWKS) owned by Makati Broadcasting Network with studios located at 14th floor, Insular Life Building, Ayala Ave. cor. Paseo de Roxas Makati Central Business District. From 1984, it had the Contemporary Hit Radio format, competing directly with 99.5 RT. It changed its name to Kiss Jazz 101.1 & transformed into a smooth jazz format from 1988 - 1990 competing directly with Citylite 88.3 (now Jam 88.3) before it quietly went-off the air.
During 1992, MBC launched the show business gossip and music station, 101.1 Showbiz Tsismis. At that time, its callsign was DWST, which stood for "Showbiz Tsismis" (Showbiz Gossip). 101.1 Showbiz Tsismis had a mix of show business news and the latest music hits, and even employed reporters with a reporting style similar to that of local AM stations.
89.1 Wave FM
DWAV, broadcasting as Wave 891, is a music FM station owned and operated by Blockbuster Broadcasting System, Inc. in the Philippines. The station's studio is located at the Strata 2000 Bldg., Ortigas Center, Pasig City, with its transmitter located along Roosevelt Avenue, San Francisco del Monte, Quezon City.
History
Wave 891 began regular operations shortly after March 1, 2001,after Quest, through a government-sponsored bidding, won the rights to the frequency and the facilities of the defunct and sequestered DZMZ (Danze Muzic Zone 89 DMZ, then owned by Intercontinental Broadcasting Corporation). Wave 891 continues to use IBC-13's transmission facilities up to the present.
Managed by former Magic 89.9 jock Rolando Sulit a.k.a. Joe D'Mango, the station began its operations with a pop soul, pop jazz easy listening format. Some months later, its programming gradually shifted to full pop R&B and as of this year, it also was playing hip-hop tunes, particularly on weekends.

Tambayan 101.9 "Sa'n Ka Pa!" Online Streaming
In August 1996, WRR regenerated itself into a mainstream pop music station in response to growing trend of "masa" radio or FM radio for the masses launched by 102.7 Star FM a year earlier. This format plays not only love songs, but also dance and rock hits. Recently though, whenever its on-air personalities would introduce the station, they have dropped the call letters (WRR) and would just say "Alalalalam mo na yan, 101.9 For Life! (You know it, 101.9 For Life!)(Around 2005-2009) and Recently, "Bespren"101.9 For Life! (Friend,101.9 For Life!),.
Tambayan 101.9 (tambayan1019.com)
At November 4 at 9:12pm, there was a broadcast about the history of DWRR. After that, it relaunched as Tambayan 101.9 starting with the theme song & live debut in A Venue in Makati. Radyo Natin Manila
Although Radyo Natin is found in the FM band, Radyo Natin, in the mornings hook up with Manila Broadcasting Company's flagship station, DZRH, to offer its listeners the information they need about the country's situation.
In the afternoons, on regular programming, Radyo Natin swings to being a music station which offers the latest and biggest hits of the country. And in evenings, it aired Ang Dating Daan, a religious program hosted by tele-evangelist Eliseo Soriano.
With central studios found at the MBC Building within the Star City Complex in Pasay, Radyo Natin sends its signals to its 100 stations by using state of the art satellite technology. These 100 stations then broadcast their signals to their respective areas of responsibility.
These individual Radyo Natin stations can, however, "unhook" from the Manila central studios and air events of their own localities on special specified hours, thus, Radyo Natin is nationwide in coverage, yet local in nature.
In 2005 a Show Cause Order containing a cease and desist directive from the commissioner of National Telecommunications Commission was issued to Radyo Natin, forcing a closure of the all radio station from its operation.
In the order against Manila Broadcasting Company, NTC Commissioner Ronald Olivar Solis said that the company is "operating a low power FM station as a commercial broadcasting station without the necessary authority from the Commission.
